The Jewel of Hove

On behalf of the team at Curry Mahal, I Abdul Mohit Noor, would like to take the opportunity to welcome you all to one of the oldest Indian restaurants in the county; the Curry Mahal which was established in 1971 by my uncle. Many of you are familiar with my team, and the majority of you know me as Mo from Millan Tandoori, where I was in business for 25 years.

Happy Atmosphere

I can assure you that the same courteous service and authentic food you are used to can always be expected. For those of you that don’t know me, please don’t hesitate to introduce yourself to either myself or any member of my team. Testimonials

Where to start....?! I absolutely LOVE Curry Mahal! I refuse to go anywhere else. The staff are amazing and helpful. I messaged them asking a question, and they responded 7 minutes later! The food arrives hot and tasty, every single time i order. They are the most consistent restaurant i have ever known. I would highly recommend Curry Mahal... you'll definitely be the one missing out if you go elsewhere! - "Lisa"
Fancied a Take Away and after looking at the reviews decided to head to Curry Mahal. Once there decided to eat in and was welcomed by the friendly staff. Ordered poppadoms and they were great - the sauces were lovely. We also had a Lassi each one mango one strawberry which were really nice. I had a Prawn Puri starter which was generous and delicious, my wife had the Reshmi Kebab, again delicious. The mains lived up to the starters. My Shatkora Lamb had a lovely, unique taste...not spicy but full of flavour and the Prawn Dansak was cracking! For the sides - the Pilau rice was perfect and the Chana Saag was tasty. They don’t serve alcohol - but do have non-alcoholic alternatives and mocktails. They do take-aways, so if you want a beer with it then go that route...honestly the food is worth it. Spoke to our waiter and he said his family had taken over in September this year - after running a curry house in Shoreham for 25 years. The chef is also one of the original Curry Mahal chefs from before the previous owners. Really enjoyed it and will be back -"G P"
Absolutely 'The' best place for a curry. In the years I've been using Mo' at Curry Mahal I've NEVER had any gristle or tough meat unlike with some other curry restaurants. I've joined their loyalty program too with great offers sent via email often which really makes it a pleasure to visit them. Great food, menu and lovely staff. (P.s. I'm nearly sixty so I've a lot of experiences to compare with) Kid-friendliness: Friendliness shown to ALL. Parking: Good... outside or down the side streets opposite (30 second walk) during busy periods. Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessibility with plenty of space inside. (Our son is disabled) Dietary restrictions: I'm sure they will suit anyone's needs but I don't require any dietary restrictions - "Lloyd"
Hot, fresh, flavourful food every time. I refuse to go anywhere else for a curry! The team here are lovely, kind and polite and always go above and beyond for both dining in and takeaways. I prefer my curries extra spicy and they are always happy to make adjustments! Wide variety of options on their menu so there’s definitely something for every palate 😋 Strongly recommend Curry Mahal! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 - "Priya"
